  4.      Thank you for taking a look at "Propose It!".  This is a
  5. shareware program to help you write proposals.  Proposals are
  6. used to make sales, win bids and present ideas.  They can be used
  7. in the public and private sectors.  They are also useful for
  8. presentations in larger companies.  In these files, you will find
  9. professionally prepared sample text and formats.  This is an easy
  10. way to make you more successful in a very short time.  I have
  11. designed these so that you can simply choose appropriate text,
  12. fill in a few blanks and in some cases merge some documents. 
  13. Consider these files as very powerful tools in your sales or
  14. marketing strategy.

  16.      (This program is also available for Macintoshes. Files are
  17. in Text and Word 4.o formats.  Look for filename "propose.sit").

  19.      "Propose It!" was written by David A. Works, a member of the
  20. Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP).

  23. Requirements:

  25.      Any PC or compatible with a word processing or page layout
  26. program will do fine.  Ideally, the program should have merge
  27. capability.  These files are designed for use by those with a
  28. basic (not advanced) knowledge of word processing.

  33.      The files are in two formats: ASCII and Wordperfect 5.1. 
  34. All files with a .doc extension are ASCII files and can be
  35. imported into any word processing or page layout program.  Check
  36. your particular documentation to see how to import ASCII files. 
  37. All files with a .wp extension are WordPerfect 5.1 files and can
  38. be opened by this or any later version of WordPerfect.  The
  39. "merge.doc" file is a generic file.  It may need to be altered to
  40. work with your particular software.

  43. Cover Letter
  44.  
  45.      Use this letter with larger proposals.  It isn't good form
  46. to just send out a proposal without a cover letter.  People like
  47. to know what they are receiving.  Use this file with the merge
  48. file (merge.doc or merge.wp).

  53.      A complete manual to walk you through the creation of a
  54. professional appearing proposal.

  57. Large Proposals
  58.  
  59. File for proposing large or more complicated projects.  Use this
  60. file with the merge file (merge.doc or merge.wp).

  65.      Contains templates for proposals in letter form.  Also
  66. includes an overview template which I have found useful to
  67. include along with a letter proposal to larger companies.  Use
  68. with the merge file (merge.doc or merge.wp).
